I am a thirtysomething assistant professor struggling to do my research and writing while coming to grips with my family. I am married with a four year old daughter. That is the easy part. As a family we are coming to terms with a second trimester loss and whether we will have more children. We are also dealing with the craziness of the extended family--his and mine.
